The Science of Business Success

Dr Jerry Teplitz , author of MANAGING YOUR STRESS IN DIFFICULT TIMES, is rapidly becoming a guru for those who are either in the long 'laid off' column of people as well as those who are on the job but not finding certain aspects either pleasurable or even moderately or functionally successful! This gentleman has a PhD in Holistic Science, which simply means he has become acutely aware of how the body and mind function when faced with ordinary tasks, fears, rewards, and progressive learning. Aside from the powerhouse of information he shares in this book (a mirror of his seminars he manages across the country), he is a fine writer and understands well how to communicate his theories in a way that makes his information easily accessible - and reproducible after the content of the book is complete.

The first portion of this easy to read book is a presentation of the concept of the Brain Gym, a section in which he discusses and demonstrates the right versus the left brain functions, how to retrain (or untrain) certain physical responses by exercises that stimulate the brain to alter learned pathways of response, using biofeedback, and then a series of exercises (doable!) used to employ the brain into methods of body response that result in combating sales blocs that prevent success in business.

The second part of the book is co authored with Dr Tony Alessandra who takes us through sales strategies and how to maximize positive responses by using the retrained, Brain Gym worked-out new you. It may sound a little too much for any of us to learn if we simply depend on the cover material of this very thoughtfully designed book. But buy the book, read it, practice the workouts, and apply them and the entire process seems rudimentary - if enlightened can be equated with rudimentary! This is a manual for self-improvement to be sure, but it is also a book that introduces new ways of thinking about the capacities of our brains and bodies. And it takes a master Like Jerry Teplitz to provide that resurgence of self-confidence that is the element we all contain behind the blinds of fear and anxiety that hamper the way we relate to the world. Two books in one, very different

I actually found this to be exceptional. Very different - two books in one. The "calibration" at the end of each chapter was really unique, and extremely useful.

I think I wound up getting two exceptional authors, with all the goodies, in one book. This is probably my most favorite book mainly due to the fact that it gives perfect, useable information, in a unique format that I wish more books provided in the business or self-improvement categories.

I think this is ground-breaking - and I use the techniques with ease. Alessandra is incredible and Dr. Teplitz' calibrations with each lesson is revolutionary. I really use this book often - it is that kind of book, almost a guide plus reference, and I use the new techniques I've learned with real success. Really, outstanding - and quite unusual in a good way!

Plus, they gave me a ton of free audio/video products on a special promotion when I bought the Amazon Kindle Verions - not sure if I can list this link here, since I DID buy the book on Amazon for my Kindle - they still have the $400 in free bonus digital items available if you can use this link - I highly recommend the book and the free digital video complements:

Rewarded is the third and last novella from the Torn Between Two Lovers Trilogy by Jo Davis. I truly enjoyed all three books. From the start of this series, I knew the heroine will end up with whom the readers decide. Rewarded is my first interactive trilogy, and I found it to be very entertaining. I loved reading others’ reviews to see if they were Team Joaquin or Team Grey. I won’t mention whom I wanted to win, but unfortunately, it’s not the guy that the readers picked.

Greyson is back in the picture and ready to fight for Anna. Ms. Davis did a great job bringing in the heroes and giving them a chance to win Anna’s heart. Because it’s a short book, you quickly learn whom she will pick early on of the book. It was a hard choice for Anna. Who can blame her, both Joaquin and Greyson are both walking sin. They are strong, influential and very sexy.

I will say that all three novellas are short and fast paced. It’s filled with action scenes with a hint of suspense. Not to forget the love story between the protagonists was very sweet. Like I said, the hero I was rooting for did not win the girl. But I am hoping he gets his own happy-ever-after because he surely deserves it. I will be the first in line to read his story.

Which Man will Anna choose?

Rewarded by Jo Davis is the third in a series on novellas concerning a restaurant owner, Anna Claire and her two love interests, Grayson and Joaquin. The beginning of this story takes place right after an enemy of Joaquin’s has kidnapped her. This kidnapping event is what drives this part of their story. I did not read the first two stories so I felt as if I had come in the middle of the action. However, soon all was clear and there was no more confusion, mostly because it is so well written it feels complete. Looking up the series on line the first novella is the introduction of Anna and Grayson with their breakup. The second is the introduction of Joaquin. It is in this novella that she makes her decision as to which man she loves. I won’t give away her choice but will say I do so hope that the loser gets his HEA story next. I would have had a hard time choosing too, since both are men of worth. The characters of Grayson and Joaquin are fully fleshed out as strong and driven men. Anna was still a bit of a mystery to me even at the end. Even saying that I still enjoyed this part of the series but would recommend that the novellas be read in order. I now plan to go back and read the first two, Raw and Risky.

Anna meets Joaquin and the sparks fly, she never thought she was the rebound type, but she doesn't feel too bad, after all Gray lied and wounded her deeply; she deserves to be happy!

As Anna is torn between to very powerful and sexy men, she knows that she must make a decision. Both men are wildly attractive and loving, but one man holds her heart! Who will Anna choose? Pick up this great novella and find out! You will be so glad you did!

To do so, the author has analysed select works which are located within and grapple with four recent periods which have played a significant role in refashioning the nations in the region: the Emergency in India; the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka; the secession of Bangladesh; and Zia-ul-Haq`s regime in Pakistan.

In examining the literary representation of these critical junctures, Neluka Silva draws upon key aspects of postcolonial, nationalist and feminist theory, which have influenced both the understanding of the concerned episodes and the literary productions of the authors selected. By providing an implicit comparative frame of reference, the author succeeds in suggesting ways in which certain choices reinforce or subvert established power relations in the fraught arena of nationalist politics in the four South Asian countries.

Neluka Silva is Head, Department of English, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Leeds, UK, and holds an Advanced Diploma in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Uppsala University, Sweden. She has written articles for local and international journals on the issues of gender, identity, nationalism and peace in cultural production. Her previous books are Across Cultures: Issues of Identity in Contemporary British and Sri Lankan Writing (coedited); Feminists Under Fire: Exchanges Across War Zones (coedited); and The Hybrid Island: Culture Crossings and the Invention of Identity in Sri Lanka (edited).
