Some solid wisdom from a modern day mystic

Having read this author's first book "The Miracle of You," I was very interested to read this title, with hopes of learning something new of course, but also to see how his writing was progressing. Now that I've completed "Living in Consciousness," I feel inspired to say that, from my perspective, JB Lewis truly is a modern mystic, a very sincere ambassador of Spirit who has a wealth of valuable insights to share with readers.
As a person who grew up in a traditional Christian family, Lewis has extensive Biblical knowledge, so he can speak with authority on that subject. He also has the experience of living within a fundamentalist Christian environment, meaning he knows exactly what it's like to be "on the inside," so to speak. This makes his work particularly valuable to individuals within that world who are perhaps questioning the rigidity of its teachings, who are wondering if maybe everything in the Bible isn't in fact the sacred word of God.
The reality is, there's a lot of insightful content in this book, and much thought-provoking material as well. The only reason I chose not to give it a five star rating, is because the author is still refining his craft as a writer, and as such the book lacks some of the "polish" that characterizes books published by mainstream publishers. With that said, I nonetheless recommend this book as a spiritual growth resource, and really do look forward to reading more from him.

This author obviously thinks religion is crap but talks a lot about God and the soul, just like religion does. Maybe it's just dogma he doesn't like. This author has a clear and well developed mind but relies a great deal on belief.
