About the Author
Peter Abrahams is the New York Times bestselling author of twenty-five books, including the Edgar Award-winning Reality Check, Bullet Point, and the Echo Falls series for middle graders. Writing as Spencer Quinn, he is also the author of the Chet and Bernie series Dog on It, Thereby Hangs a Tail, and To Fetch a Thief. He and his wife live in Massachusetts with their dog, Audrey.

Abrahams just gets better and better

So far of all his novels, only one gets less than 5 stars. This book was trilling from beginning to end. Peter Abrahams has an ability to create exciting plots and very real people who take part in them. Could not put this book down. The plot deals with the kidnapping of babies and also with detailed descriptions of scuba diving. A very unusual combination but it works terrifically. Few men writers are so able to get into a woman's mind. It's really time that this book and some of his earlier works are brought back into print.

Excellant work by Abrahams.

"Pressure Drop" is an interesting novel where the a down-on-his-luck club owner/diver and a New Yorker with a missing child meet up. Nina Kitchener only wanted to have a child, and with the help of a mysterious sperm bank, she did. But then her child is kidnapped, and she sets about trying to find it. The truth leads her to the Bahamas and a final showdown with a ex-Nazi eugenist who has been in hiding for fifty years. The thrills never ended, and it was better than "Fury of Rachel Monette" which had some similaries.
