Keeping a relationship alive is a continuous challenge

This is one of the better books on communication and building and keeping relationships alive. In this busy world we have created we need to be more creative in our relationships. John Powell has put together steps that lead to a more accepting and non-judgmental way of life. First and foremost we need to spend time in solitude and silence and listen to our own inner world. We cannot reach out to others to form a relationship if we are not in touch with ourselves. We will have nothing important to offer one another unless we become aware of our feelings, our thoughts, our spirit. We will offer nothing to a relationship except opinions, beliefs etc. Listening with an open mind and heart is the way to the secret of staying in love. Another exceptional author on this subject is John A. I usually read books slowly, word-by-word. So I typically find at least one or two errors in every book I read, I was surprised how many errors this book has. There is an error on practically every page which makes it difficult to read at times. This also has me questioning the validity of content. As for the content - the book glosses over all of the major topics. It makes for a quick read, but not much help to someone that has spent more than a weekend thinking about real estate investing. There are, however, plenty of references to the author's business for the reader to get more "help". I bought the book as a guide, but it turned out to be more of a marketing tool for their real estate management company in Atlanta. I considered giving 1 star, but there were a couple of helpful hints that gave me ideas about issues/ideas to further pursue. If you are thinking about considering to spend some time learning about real estate, then this book is good for you. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

I love all of the books in the Jaxon Jennings series. Actually, I've loved every book that I've read by Hale. Some mornings I'm cursing Hale from exhaustion for keeping me up all night...I can't put his books down!

The series (and all of his books, for that matter) draws you in from the first chapter through to the end. The characters are well-developed and the action is intense. I love a good thriller. This series offers the perfect combination of suspense, personal relationships, unexpected twists and turns, and original storylines. You won't want to miss out!

Don't start these books if you've got to get up tomorrow!

I like to read. I've liked to read for as long as I can remember. What I don't like is to not sleep because I'm still reading, "just one more page." The thing with my kindle is, the pages are too small so they don't really count so I keep going and going and going with some books. This is one of those books (boxed sets so it's worse because it never stops, which is good except that I actually physically NEED sleep.)

I don't read a lot of mysteries, but I love Jaxon Jennings. I've read the John Davenport ones by... someone, can't remember, the Prey series, and I've read The Dresden Files so, when I find a protagonist, or cast of characters that I really like I'll keep going. This is one of those. Janet Evanovich's Plum books, same thing. I can't stop reading them. Great characters, great pacing, and great company to be mentioned in with those in my mind.

I heartily recommend these... if you don't need to work the next day. Maybe don't start them until you're on vacation?

I am so pleased to see the books become a box set. They are a fantastic read and at least with the box set you don't have to wait until another one in the series is published but can continue on. Just loved this series. Richard you write quite similar to an author who lives close to me (Brian Mc Gilloway). He also taught my son at college. His writing is also like yours, very gripping and can't wait to find out what happens next. Well done for considering the box set. A great move I feel on your part. Please keep them coming.

Very useful reference book for nurse educators

This textbook was required for one of my graduate classes. It's one of the few books I've kept as a reference. Ended up using it for several more classes and have cited it in numerous research papers. The text layout looks dense, but it's easy to read. Includes updated teaching approaches and distance learning considerations. Incorporates various teaching/learning theories, but emphasizes student responsibility for the learning process. Am glad I was introduced to this author.

I mid ranged this book because the information is put in an interesting format but nothing new. He talks nothing about handicapping just placement of your own choice an array of betting situations many taking your pick and placing it with another race ALL selection. No mathematics involved except simple common sense stuff. He talks about sharing portions of his winnings with the less fortunate perhaps that's where the ZEN comes into play.
